Lylac By Maheen
Our Story
Lylac began in 2013 with a gap I felt in my own wardrobe. I couldn't find clothes that balanced clean, modern design with thoughtful modesty — everything was either heavily embroidered and formal, or basic everyday wear with poor fabric and boxy cuts. I wanted pieces that felt effortless and elegant, clothes you could throw on and immediately feel put together in. I didn't go to design school, and I didn't come from a textile family — I learned by doing, hours spent touching fabrics and understanding how a garment actually sits on a woman's body. That hands-on approach still shapes everything about how I design today.
Made By Hand, Not By Machine
Lylac has never been an assembly line. We work in small batches with a close-knit team of local master tailors and karigars — limited runs, on purpose, choosing detail over volume every time.
In My Hands, Every Step
I choose every roll of fabric myself before a design even begins, and sit with our tailors through sampling and production — checking every seam, cut, and finish personally.
A Name With Meaning
Lylac was inspired by the quiet beauty and soft strength of the lilac flower — the same energy I hope every piece brings into your day.
From My Hands To Yours
How Every Piece Is Made
I go out and choose every single roll of fabric myself, making sure the texture and weight are right before a design even starts.
I sit with our tailors during sampling and production, checking seams, cuts, and finishes at every stage.
I handle customer messages, follow orders through to delivery, and personally read your feedback once your package arrives.
When you order from us, it passes through my hands and eyes before it gets to yours.
With warmth,
Maheen
